Smile Makeover
New Bedford, Falmouth, & Hyannis, MA

Woman smilingMany people think about makeovers during this time of the year. If you’re thinking about having a makeover, why not start with your smile? There are a lot of different techniques Center for Advanced Periodontics and Implant Dentistry can use to give your smile a fresh look. Give us a few minutes to outline our smile makeover program for you.

What Is A Smile Makeover?

These procedures are called smile makeovers in our practice because they can alter your smile’s appearance. They may even change the way that your face looks. There are lots of things we can do to improve the appearance of your smile. If you have teeth that are cracked or broken, or you have teeth that are discolored, we might recommend veneers to cover either your upper teeth, your lower teeth, or both. If you have small cracks on a few of your teeth, or you have sizeable spaces between your teeth, bonding would fix the cracks and close those large gaps, so that your smile looks whole. Are you missing teeth? Tooth implants would restore those teeth you lost. We could also whiten your teeth to give you a more uniform smile.

When we do a smile makeover, we can do more than give you a great smile. We look at all of the elements of your face - the shape of your face and the color of your skin, eyes, and hair. We also look at how your teeth are shaped, how long or wide they are, and how much gum tissue you have. The shape of your lips is essential as well because we want your smile to look as natural as possible. Of course, we would also talk to you about those issues in your mouth you think you have, and what you like about your mouth. It is important that we make changes in your mouth to make you happy because it is your mouth and your smile.

What Kinds of Changes Might be Made During A Smile Makeover?

We can do lots of different changes during the smile makeover process. Your teeth and gums change as time goes on, which changes your smile. For example, the younger you are, the longer your teeth are. Over time, your teeth get worn down, which causes them to look shorter. Your gums could grow and get more prominent as well. We might recommend you lengthen your teeth with veneers, caps, or bonding. You may also need to reshape your gums, which would result in longer looking teeth.

If you don’t like the shape of your teeth, we can also change that through veneers. You might think your teeth are too square or too small. We can fix that with veneers as well.

Through the amazing wonders of current practice, we can completely remake your smile so that it looks just the way you want it to look.
